You never know what can be done in a moments notice. My friend @snapartlife_ calls me an hour before class and tells me he wants to try out his new camera lens. What can be done meeting five minutes before class in Hoboken? I guess some pretty cool stuff.. #yoga #photography #hoboken @gardenstateyoga #handstand (at Hoboken Path Station)
It’s coming!!! 👉#Hashtag Handstand 👈 I would like to invite anyone and everyone to my upcoming workshop at @laughinglotusny in New York City. This workshop is devoted entirely to the freestanding balance of a handstand. I will take you step-by-step through the process of finding the balance, learning to fall and how to maintain the balance once in the air. Not to mention tons of little tips and tricks to play around with. This is not your typical inversion workshop where we try to cram a bunch of inversions into a two hour time period. We will only be working on the handstand and the process needed to take you there. I’m really looking forward to this, if you’re around, come by! 😄😊😍#yoga #handstand #workshop #lotuslove#laughinglotus #love #goinghome
The weather is getting nicer and it’s finally time to get outside!!!
How focused are you? 🔎
The Drishti or focal point in yoga is so important to finding balance in just about every pose. When it comes to balancing on 1 foot or just the hands (inverted) this becomes so much more important. Look at my eyes in the video and see how intently focused I am on keeping a steady gaze. It’s not like I’m looking at something, it’s almost as if I’m looking through something. It’s the ability to channel the third eye with the eyes open.
One of the best ways to practice this is by looking at a candle flame for an extended period of time to see if you can relax the eyes to allow the vision to blur, but stay steady… Questions?? #yoga #drishti #balance #lotuslove #handstand
Just got tagged along with @sequellife_bp and @langjo1117 by one of my first teachers @xenstrengthyoga to #stopdropandyoga ..being that I just ate I’m going with the ever so safe baddha konasana variation tarasana (star pose). This is one of my favorite variations as it really helps lengthen the low back and lumbar spine. While I’m looking at the camera for ego purposes.. try to concentrate your forehead to the insoles of your feet for the full pose 😉 FYI - these 2 poses are some of the only yoga poses that are safe to perform directly after eating… I now tag: @leo_risingyoga @andrew7sealy and @phelpshair ..care to join? #yogaeverydamday #justdoit #embraceyourselfie
